Rohan Bhargava
Rohan is based in Toronto and works with TD Asset Management, managing the Client Portfolio Management desk for Fixed Income solutions.
Rohan came to Canada with his family (wife and 10-month-old daughter) in 2014 to pursue his MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. In a nearly ten-year career, he has worked as a Corporate Banker, Ratings Analyst and now as a Vice President at TD Asset Management in Toronto.
Rohan has an unconventional background; he devoted the first 17 years of his life to Sports. He is a black belt in Karate and also a South Asian Bronze Medalist. He also represented his school and College at various national and state-level tournaments in Cricket. He trained under Lt. Shri Ramakant Achrekar, who handpicked him from Agra and brought him to Mumbai. He studied at the prestigious Sharadashram Vidyamandir School under his supervision.
Rohan takes pride in having helped his mother set up a rural hospital in Agra, which ran successfully for nearly 20 years. He has worked and lived on three continents: Australia, Asia and North America. Rohan did Economics Honours from College and graduated in 2002, the experience he claims changed and shaped his life.
He attributes his perseverance, never-say-die attitude, and positivity to sports and St. Stephen's College. He is also very proud of the relationships, friendships and fond memories College gave him that have lasted forever. He lived in Singapore from 2009 - 2014 and was actively involved in Alumni activities, including organizing and helping raise funds for the Singapore Stephanian Scholarship, which is a part of the College now. In his free time, he loves watching movies. Rohan celebrated his 42nd birthday on the 1st of October 2023 but claims that he has just arrived and is getting started.
