Creating Bonds with Jo
One of the fondest memories from my time at St. Stephen's College revolves around the captivating moments spent within the laboratory, meticulously conducting titrations and crafting exquisite crystals from a variety of salts. These experiences were nothing short of enchanting for a 17-year-old. It felt like embarking on a magical journey that commenced within those charged-up laboratories and culminated in the formation of these beautiful, crystalline creations.
My life's trajectory has, in many ways, mirrored the essence of my days at St. Stephen's College. The passion I developed for teaching during those formative years has blossomed into a fulfilling career spanning 35 years with the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT, Delhi. I dedicated myself to imparting knowledge in the fields of Accountancy and Business Studies. This transition from the chemistry lab to the realm of education allowed me to witness the transformation of young minds into remarkable, independent, and accomplished individuals.
Following my voluntary retirement, my days are now filled with the joyful pursuit of grandchildren and a journey down memory lane to when I was an energetic 18-year-old playing for the college hockey team. Additionally, while enjoying our karaoke nights, whether in Toronto, Houston, or San Francisco, I fondly reminisce my days at college when I used to read to a visually impaired student during my involvement with the Social Service League. The lyrics of a particular song still resonate with me, providing a sense of peace and tranquility: "Yeh waadiyan yeh fizayen bula Rahi Hain tumhe..."
Throughout my travels to the United States and Canada, I've had the pleasure of reconnecting with fellow Stephanians and sharing delightful moments. As I continue to explore the world, I eagerly anticipate the prospect of meeting more of you along the way!
