Captain Tinkle Gupta
Born and brought up in a family of doctors , engineers and armed forces personnel, studying and having a career was a very normal ritual in our homes. After completing schooling from Queen Mary's school, I joined St Stephen's College in 1992 in Physics Honours course.
My aim in life was very clear from day one, to join the defence forces and follow my father's footsteps . I cleared the Air Force and Army SSBs with ease and eventually joined the Army for my love for olive green.
Encountering innumerable adventures, voyages on ships, exciting tenures, amazing interactions and learnings with men in uniform, I enjoyed my thrilling time in the Army. Inspired by my Naval father, I married the man of my dreams from Navy. We are blessed with two lovely boys.
My calling had always been to go back to my roots, may it be love for my country or my comrades . I have always been involved with a lot of social work from the beginning . Was very fortunate to work for underprivileged, orphans, senior citizens at Arakkonam Chennai, Delhi and Kanpur. We used to adopt a village, teach small children, complete their certificates and get them admitted in government schools. Also worked with government hospitals especially with wards of patients in casualties. Being a soft skills trainer, I have worked very closely with Delhi and Kanpur police on topics like gender bias and equality, body language and non-verbal communication.
YMCA and Rotary clubs gave me an opportunity to conduct many workshops on topics like hygiene, sanitation, personal grooming , gender bias etc. My MBA degree in HR from Symbiosis, helped me to go to the grass roots level and do man-management with ease . My love for teaching inspired me to do my B Ed, Soft skill certification, Image consultancy certification and Train the trainer course. Got lots of opportunities in Delhi , Kanpur and Chennai to train thousands of college students to clear their HR interviews .
I will proudly share that I have volunteered in many colleges, to train students aspiring to be in defence forces and many of my students are now officers in all the three forces. My trustworthy attitude , never give up spirit, team work, dedication and confidence in myself have helped me make wonderful friends and enjoy my life to the fullest . My tag line is ENJOY THE SMALL JOYS OF LIFE and
THANK GOD FOR SMALL MERCIES .
